In order to participate in the Program, you must be a resident in the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man and be of legal driving age.
How the referral program works
To participate for a chance to claim one of our great rewards, sign-up to Smart Mechanic referral program then refer friends, family members or colleagues by sending them your personal referral link. You may share your referral link via email, social media and other tools Smart Mechanic may provide.
For each friend who signs up for a referral account through your referral link, we will increment your referral count. Once the number of referrals reaches a reward milestone, you will receive an automated email confirming the reward. The reward will be added to your account upon completing your Smart Mechanic profile via the Smart Mechanic’s mobile App. A referral is complete when referred friend’s sign-up. Refer more people to reach the next milestone and upgrade your reward. Only one from seven rewards available can be claimed per customer. There is no maximum referral limit throughout the entirety of the Program. All participants will be placed in a draw for a chance to win a brand-new Audi A1 worth up to £12,000. All reward provision is contingent on receiving appropriate funding from investors.
The rewards are as follows:
- 1 Referral: £25 Smart Mechanic gift voucher
- 5 Referrals: 10% discount for 3 months
- 10 Referrals: 10% discount for 12 months
- 25 Referrals: Free Full Vehicle Inspection or Pre-Purchase Inspection
- 50 Referrals: Free MOT
- 80 Referrals: Lifetime access to Online Vehicle Support & History (HPI ) checks
- 110 Referrals: Free Car Service
All Smart Mechanic rewards must be used within one (1) year from the date of issue else it expires and becomes void. The amount of Smart Mechanic credit applied to one (1) transaction cannot exceed the total order amount.
Reward 1 (£25 credit) will appear on your Smart Mechanic account upon completing your mobile app sign-up. Reward 1 may be redeemed in various forms at Smart Mechanic’s sole discretion. Restrictions apply. Referral Reward credit can be used to pay for, vehicle service, maintenance, but may not be used to pay for parts or MOT.
Reward 2 (10% discount for 3 months) will automatically be applied to your Smart Mechanic account upon completing your mobile app sign-up. You will be able to apply the 10% discount for 12 months on all services excluding MOT.
Reward 3 (10% discount for 12 months) will automatically be applied to your Smart Mechanic account upon completing your mobile app sign-up. You will be able to apply the 10% discount for 12 months on all services excluding MOT.
Reward 4 (Free Full Vehicle Inspection or pre-purchase inspection) will appear on your Smart Mechanic account upon completing your mobile app sign-up. You will be able to redeem this reward and get a free vehicle inspection (Diagnostic Inspection) via the Smart Mechanic app for 1 vehicle.
Reward 5 (Free MOT) will appear on your account upon completing your mobile app sign-up. You will be able to book 1 MOT via the Smart Mechanic platform for 1 vehicle.
Reward 6 (Lifetime access to Online Vehicle Support & History Checks (HPI) will automatically be applied to your Smart Mechanic account upon completing your mobile app sign-up. You will be able to ask up to 30 questions via the Smart Mechanic knowledge base on the Smart Mechanic mobile app. Vehicle history checks will be available once this feature is officially released to all customers. Vehicle checks data may be limited at the beginning of release.
Reward 7 (Free Car Service) will be automatically applied to your Smart Mechanic account upon completing your mobile app sign-up. Vehicle maintenance can be a major or minor service depending on what is required for your vehicle. Petrol or diesel vehicle up to 2.0 liters are eligible.
Rewards are subject to verification. Earned rewards are available for UK vehicles only, excluding imported vehicles, classic cars (older than 1980) and Supercars. Smart Mechanic may delay a reward for the purposes of investigation. Smart Mechanic may also refuse to verify and process any transaction for any reason. Unless otherwise stated, rewards have no monetary value and may not be redeemed for cash. Rewards are not transferable and may not be auctioned, traded, bartered or sold.
Smart Mechanic shall have no liability for your failure to receive notices due to spam, junk email or other security settings or for your provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information. If you cannot be contacted, are ineligible, fail to claim the reward within 90 days from the time award notification was sent, or fail to timely return a completed and executed declaration and release if required, the reward may be forfeited. Receipt by you of the reward offered in this Campaign is conditioned upon compliance with any and all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Any violation of these official rules by you (at Smart Mechanic’s sole discretion) will result in a disqualification as reward receiver of the Campaign, and all privileges as you will be immediately terminated.
Referrers cannot refer themselves or create multiple, fictitious or fake accounts with Smart Mechanic. No user may use the Program to violate any law, infringe or violate the rights of any third party, or otherwise act in a manner that is deemed harassing, harmful, illegal, hateful, obscene or outside the spirit and intent of the Program. In addition, you may not (i) tamper with the Program, (ii) act in an unfair or disruptive manner, or (iii) use any system, bot or other device or artifice to participate or receive any benefit in the Program.
Purchases via Smart Mechanic app
When you place an order via the mobile app to purchase services from, or to have goods fitted through provision via Smart Mechanic, this constitutes an “offer”. Smart Mechanic app will display details of the offer, we’ll also send you an email confirming receipt of your order and containing the details of it (the “Order Confirmation”). This constitutes the “acceptance”, irrespective of whether any payment that has been taken previously by Smart Mechanic.
In the event that Smart Mechanic does not accept your offer and/or does not issue an Order Confirmation to you, Smart Mechanic shall make a full refund of any payments made by you as part of the ordering process.
Smart Mechanic retains the right to refuse to accept your order solely at its discretion. If there is concern that there is an attempt to place an order dishonestly, fraudulently, by impersonating someone else or by attempting to use payment details which have been stolen, we will make additional checks and if appropriate involve external authorities.
